As I was a lively character in my younger days, my parents encouraged my interest further by regularly providing colouring tools, using drawing as a strategy to c...alm me and extend my concentration skills.
At High School I was introduced to using water colours and gouche paints. Although I was not really taught how to use these materials at this time, I enjoyed experimenting and developing my skills and seemed to have a natural knowing of how to use different techniques.
Following the completion of my GCSEs, I decided not to attend Art College as the academic aspect of courses did not appeal to me. Instead, I continued to experiment and self teach with different media and styles.
My interest in comic book styles and techniques has always been with me but, as well as continuing to regularly produce art pieces in this style, I have since extended my interests to include fantasy art and spiritual art. From this, my artwork has slowly moved me into pet/animal portraits.
I have now reached the stage in my life where I realise that art is my passion and something I wish to pursue as a career as well as a hobby. So, after many years of people telling me to share my gift and talent with others, I am now happy to do so!
